Elklan Language and Learning

A few more spaces are still available for the second cohort of the fully-funded Elklan Language and Learning 2-4s course

We are pleased to be able to provide early years practitioners and childminders the opportunity to undertake a fully funded Elklan Language and Learning 2-4s course. Please note that places on this course will be limited and not available to settings who have already undertaken Elklan training either through the Early Years Professional Development Programme (EYPDP) or the Ipswich Opportunity Area.  Only one application per setting is permitted.

This 10 week course commences in early January and is available to early years practitioners and childminders.

Applicants must:

  • Be qualified at level 2 or 3 (the qualification is available at level 2 or 3 and this is determined by the Elklan tutor).
  • Be working in an Early Years setting or as a childminder.
  • Be committed to the programme and able to attend at least 8 out of 10 of the weekly sessions (details will be emailed upon receipt of your expression of interest).
  • Have full support of the setting manager/committee.
  • Have access to a laptop (or similar device) and good internet.

Only one application per setting.

  • Practitioners, including childminders, have until 09 December 2022 to submit your Expression of Interest application for consideration for the Spring 2023 cohort.

Here is some feedback from a practitioner who is just a couple of weeks off completing Cohort 1:

“I’m really enjoying the course. It definitely makes me look and do things differently in my own setting”. Claire – Heathlands Preschool
