Applications for all eligible children will need to be made during the first three weeks of Autumn, Spring & Summer terms, you will not be able to apply outside of this period.

IMPORTANT: Please save a copy of each application. You are given the option to save a PDF as you complete the process – this will record the 16 digit reference number needed for future applications

Please note: As mentioned in the Early Years HNF Guidance notesa full application form will need to be completed at the first claim within an academic year, this is the Autumn Term (repeat claims are not available in the Autumn Term).

  • Which cluster your setting falls within – use the Cluster Look Up Tool
  • Details about child: Name, DoB, your assessments of the child.
  • Either your List of Provider (LoP) number, agency number or school number.
  • The name of any other childcare setting where the child claims Early Education Funding.
  • 16-digit reference number from the first application; you can find this on the email you received to confirm the application and on the PDF version if you saved it.
