UKHSA East of England Health Protection Team (HPT)

HPTs provide support to professionals, including:               

  • local disease surveillance
  • alert systems
  • investigating and managing health protection incidents
  • national and local action plans for infectious diseases

Process to report a child death for childcare providers

There is a duty to report any child death, should you experience a child death it is important to follow this process. This will alert all relevant agencies that a child has died, and the child death review process is commenced. The information you need are at the links below.
