Children & Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing Festival 2023

Following the success of last year’s emotional wellbeing festival in May 2022, which invited mental health leads and year 7 & 8 students from schools in Suffolk to attend to find out about information and resources to support their mental wellbeing, Suffolk County Council’s Children & Young People’s Engagement Hub Team, and Suffolk & North East Essex ICB are pleased to announce that they will be hosting another festival for schools, and this year it will be hosted in West Suffolk.

Save the date: Emotional Wellbeing Festival 2023, Wednesday 10th May at Moreton Hall Community Centre (more details will follow)

We need students to help us plan for the festival

To help us plan what we should deliver to support students and schools at the 2023 emotional wellbeing festival we are looking for young people who are passionate about young people’s mental health to join our focus group virtual session taking place on Thursday 12th January at 4pm.

The aim of the focus group meeting is for young people to help us brainstorm ideas for wellbeing activities and support that they would like to see at the emotional wellbeing festival.

Please share the following Eventbrite link with any young people who may be interested in joining our focus group session to help us organise this special event: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/emotional-wellbeing-festival-2023-focus-group-tickets-483840318417

We also welcome thoughts and ideas from school staff and teachers – if you could email this feedback to us at [email protected]

The aims and objectives of the Emotional Wellbeing Festival 2023 event will be to:

•            Provide a fun, inspirational and informative day of workshops, practical tips and activities that support young people’s mental wellbeing.

•            Opportunity to meet other young people from different schools.

•            Emotional wellbeing resources for schools to share with their students.

•            Meet organisations and service leads that deliver mental health support services to young people in Suffolk.
