CyberFirst Girls’ Competition Teacher’s Workshop

Shaping our World – and inspiring Suffolk too!

On  28th  September BT will be running their first ever CyberFirst Girls’ Competition Teachers’ Virtual Workshop, where you can find out more about engaging your 11-13 year old students with this exciting NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre) led competition, which aims to inspire girls to choose careers in  cyber security.

BT were proud to host the East of England Regional Final for the CyberFirst Girls competition in 2022 at Adastral Park.  But sadly, none of the schools involved in the final came from Suffolk! We’d like this to change and hope in running this Teacher Workshop you can learn more about the benefits of entering this competition and encourage more of your Year 8 girls to take part and start this year inspiring your year 7 students to take part in the next academic year.

The workshop will cover:

  • Why your school should be involved
  • How to register
  • Competition platform overview
  • Key dates and deadlines for the competition
  • Prizes and positive outcomes for your school and students.
  • Engaging Year 7 students ready for 22/23
