Storytelling Trails coming to Lowestoft and Kessingland in support of the Summer Reading Challenge!

Get Suffolk Reading is supporting Suffolk Libraries in the Lowestoft area with a storytelling trail for this year’s Summer Reading Challenge. On Friday 22 July in Lowestoft town centre 12-2pm and Saturday 23 July in Kessingland from 10.30am to 12.30pm, volunteers will be reading stories to inspire sign-ups for the annual reading challenge.

Families are invited to come along and enjoy a story and then head to the local library, with free books for those who sign up on the day! The Summer Reading Challenge is open to all children aged 4-11. The challenge is to read six books over the school holidays, starting from 16 July.

Get Suffolk Reading are inviting school staff to get involved by volunteering to story read or hand out trail maps to families on the day. If you would like to get involved please contact [email protected]

Digital maps will be sent direct to schools local to Lowestoft for the events. If you would like printed maps to give out to pupils please contact [email protected]
