IYFAP Updates

The Local Authority’s Fair Access Protocol is managed through the In Year Fair Access Panel (IYFAP). Held monthly for the north, south and west of Suffolk, the IYFAP meetings consider managed moves, the reintegration of permanently excluded pupils and those returning to mainstream education from a PRU or AP, while also allowing the Admissions Team to secure school places for unplaced children and young people.

We do hope that the new academic year has started well, and all of your new students have begun to settle positively into their new surroundings.

A huge thank you to Stowupland High School in our Western area for offering us a venue in order for all of the settings within that area of the county to be able to have a face-to-face meeting. All other meetings will continue to be virtual – unless any of you are able to also offer a venue for all within your area to meet. If you are, we would be hugely appreciative.

If you are able to offer a face to face venue, please do share this with [email protected] along with the date(s) you would be able to support/offer.

We are really looking forward to seeing you all again in October.

Please note, that we are requesting the new Inclusion Service Referral Form and Risk Assessment is completed for any referrals into IYFAP and APP. Both referrals to be sent in to [email protected]
