Leading on from the successful Keys to Inclusion training, the Psychology and Therapeutic Service are pleased to be able to offer Restorative Practice training to education setting staff across Suffolk.
We have free places for two members of staff from each setting (ideally one member from senior leadership and another colleague from your setting. This is with a view to subsequently embedding this way of working as a whole school approach).
Restorative Practice is a non-adversarial approach to conflict resolution. Taking a restorative approach in settings is reported to be highly effective in reducing bullying, truancy and exclusion.
The additional date that we are offering is half a day’s virtual training from 9.30 to 12.30 on Thursday 9th June 2022.
Learning Objectives for this session are as follows:
- To introduce participants to Restorative Interventions
- To develop understanding of value and role in developing inclusive practice of Restorative Interventions
- To develop and practise Restorative Intervention skills processes
- To give an opportunity to reflect on professional practice
Attendees will also receive access to self-paced online learning modules that sit alongside this training session in order to help support implementation of this approach in their settings.
