A new platform for collecting assessment data this summer

We have a new platform for collecting assessment data in the summer term 2023.

This will replace ‘Anycomms’ and will make it much easier for data to be transferred securely, no matter which management information system (MIS) is being used.

‘Broadcast Plus’ is a part of ‘Perspective Lite’. All Suffolk schools already have free access to Perspective Lite. It seemed like a good idea to add more functionality to a system already used by school leaders rather than set up something new.

There will be some short information sessions for School Business Managers or colleagues responsible for data submission. The sessions will be a demonstration of the new system. These will be held online using ‘Teams’. There is a choice of dates.

The sessions will be held on :

Monday 22 May at 10:30am

Tuesday 23 May at 1:30pm

If you would like to attend one of the sessions, please email [email protected] indicating which session you would like to attend and you will be sent the virtual meeting link. There will be no charge for attending.

The sessions will be recorded and available on the Assessment and Data page of Suffolk Learning (Statutory Data Collection – Suffolk Learning). There will also be a guidance manual available on the site.

Broadcast Plus will be used to securely transfer data from the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile, the Phonics Screening Check and Key Stage One teacher assessment. Every School in Suffolk can have access. If the Headteacher does not already have log in details for Perspective Lite, please contact Jacqueline Cant [email protected]

Please make sure you have your log in details well ahead of the data collection deadline as it takes a while to set up. The Headteacher can then set up access for other colleagues as required.

Information from the Year 6 teacher assessment is submitted directly to the DfE via the Primary Assessment Gateway (PAG). This is accessed using the usual DfE log in. Please check that the Headteacher can access the PAG well ahead of the deadline for data collection.

Information from the Reception Baseline Assessment (RBA) and the Multiplication Tables Check is transferred directly to the DfE using the online platform used during these assessments. The Standards and Testing Agency will liaise with schools to arrange access.
