Booking is open for a relaxed online session for parents and carers, hosted by SENDIASS, to help parents understand how we use our senses to navigate everyday life and react to the world around us.
The presentation will be delivered by a member of Suffolk’s Early Years and Childcare Service and will explain how children take sensory information in and relate it to the behaviour that comes out. The session will also explore some simple strategies and resources that can support young children with sensory processing difficulties.

Booking is also open for our online session helping families prepare for the transition to high school for pupils with SEN. This relaxed session was coproduced with parents and is supported by a specialist teacher from Suffolk’s Communication and Interaction service.
Anyone who registers will have access to a pre-recording of the session to watch on demand and linked resources.

And there’s still time to book on our online session for parents and carers – Drafting and finalising an EHC plan. We will explore: the final stage of the EHC needs assessment process; naming a school; key sections of an EHCP and what a good plan looks like. This aims to help parents and carers who have just had an EHC needs assessment agreed and those whose children already have an EHC plan.
The session is not appropriate for parents who wish to find out more about the EHC needs assessment threshold and process – our videos and EHC web information will help with this.
Anyone who registers will have access to a pre-recording of the session to watch on demand and linked resources.
