Win your height in books for your school!

Suffolk Libraries is offering headteachers across Suffolk the chance to win a stack of free books for their school.

Suffolk Libraries has created a new Literacy Vision which outlines how the organisation will strengthen its links with schools and help to improve literacy levels across the county.

Everyone at Suffolk Libraries knows that books and reading are key factors for success in children’s futures. Books play a vital role in developing early language, vocabulary and resilience as well as the numerous health and wellbeing benefits for children and their families.

Headteachers of all schools across Suffolk are invited to complete a simple form to be entered into a prize draw to win their height in books for their school.  The books are brand new and recently published. They are suitable for all reading ages and interests.

All you need to do is fill in this simple online form to enter you and your school. The deadline is 1 August.

The Literacy Vision will be officially launched in September and Suffolk Libraries is hoping the winning headteacher might wish to host an exciting launch event in their school. (Although this is not an essential part of entering the competition!)

The launch event will introduce Suffolk Libraries Literacy Vision to the school community and guests will be invited along to learn more about Suffolk Libraries, their vision for literacy and new opportunities for schools.

Schools are also reminded that Suffolk Libraries will again be running the Summer Reading Challenge during the summer holidays. Promotional materials are on their way to your school and there is more information at suffolklibraries.co.uk Please promote this campaign to your pupils as it’s a proven way of maintaining reading skills over the summer break.
