In our training and information survey last year, parents and carers asked for more information and help for pupils with ASD. This term we are hosting a relaxed online session for parents and carers exploring how Construction Intervention can help children and young people develop social communication skills in school and at home.
The presentation will be delivered by specialist teachers from Suffolk’s Communication and Interaction Service and will explore: what Construction Intervention is; how it can help your child develop social communication skills in school; how the same principles can be used at home.
How Construction Intervention can support social communication
May 5th 10am – 11am online
This term we are re-introducing some face-to-face SEND sessions in different parts of Suffolk, while continuing with some online sessions too. Booking is open for our first face-to-face session in Lowestoft. This will explore the process of support for pupils with special educational needs and how parents and pupils are involved. We will also look at school responsibilities for pupils with disabilities and medical needs. Refreshments will be available but no creche facilities.
Please note attendees will need to wear masks, as per the Children’s Centre guidance. We are also limiting the places to 10, to allow for some social distancing, so please only book if you believe you will be able to attend.
