In celebration of the Festival of Suffolk, Suffolk Libraries have created an exciting opportunity for children between the ages of 5-14 to enter into a writing competition centred around the question: What do you love about the outdoors in Suffolk?
Suffolk Libraries is asking all schools to share this information with students and parents. Students might want to enter as a class or as individuals.
Submissions can be in the form of either a written story or piece of writing or even a comic strip or storyboard. All entries should be no longer than a single side of an A4 page and can be handwritten or submitted electronically. Each entry should focus on ‘What you love about the outdoors in Suffolk’. This could be the wonderful countryside, the beach, your local park, street or anywhere outside.
There will be a winner and two runners up from each key stage group who will each receive a prize.
This is a thrilling opportunity for children to develop an enthusiasm for creative writing and develop their literary skills. If your school or students would be interested in taking part in such an exciting opportunity, please
[email protected] for more information. We’ll aim to provide more information and officially launch the competition after Easter.
