We are pleased to let you know about a forthcoming conference: ‘The Leadership of SEND and Ofsted’ which will take place at Trinity Park, Ipswich on 12 October 2023 from 9.30am to 1pm. The event will be led by colleagues from across the SCC Inclusion Service with Malcolm Reeve as keynote speaker. Malcolm has been working closely with colleagues in Suffolk in his role as National SEND Leader for NASEN/Whole School SEND delivering the DfE’s Universal SEND Services contract. Malcolm is also widely known as a National Leader of Education.
The conference is for Headteachers, senior leaders in schools and school leads for SEND and Inclusion. There will be the opportunity to find out about ‘SEND in a Nutshell’ – a tool to support data analysis at a school, regional and national level and providing a starting point for whole-school SEND development planning within leadership teams.
We will also be running a workshop session giving you the chance to feed into our new county-wide SEND Strategy, due to launch in 2024. Come along and tell us what you think the priorities should be!
Refreshments will be provided on arrival and throughout the morning. There will be no cost for the conference. Please hold the date in your diaries for now – booking information will follow shortly.
