Booking is open for a relaxed online session for parents and carers, hosted by SENDIASS, exploring how to support the communication skills of children and young people, through our own responses, to better understand their behaviour.
The presentation will be delivered by specialist teachers from the Speech, Language and Communication Service which lies within Suffolk’s Communication and Interaction service.

An online session for parents and young people with a learning disability. Hosted by SENDIASS and presented by Peer Educators from ACE Anglia who will explain what an annual health check is, how to prepare and resources to help you. The session is on a Saturday to make it easier for young people to take part. The presenters will send one-page-profiles so the young people know who to expect to see.

Also, an online interactive session for parents and carers exploring practical tips and solution focussed approaches for working with schools around your child’s SEND. This is a longer session at the request of parents to allow time for more discussion.

Our online session aiming to help families prepare for their child’s transition to primary school. Parents and carers helped coproduce this session which will be supported by a member of Suffolk’s Early Years and Childcare Service. We will explore what kind of information is helpful, to find out from and share with school, ideas to help prepare for the start of term and considerations for children with SEND.
Anyone who registers will have access to a pre-recording of the session to watch on demand and linked resources.
