New Special Free School (Severe Learning Difficulties) in Suffolk

The DfE have Launched the How to Apply Guidance (HtAG) for applicants to apply to run the new Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) School in Suffolk.  The application criteria for this is now live on GOV.UK.

To apply, applicants must register their interest by completing the pre-registration form by 5pm 16 June 2023. Pre-registration is mandatory, and applicants will only receive copies of the application forms once this step has been actioned. Completed applications must be submitted to the free schools mailbox at [email protected] by noon 31 August 2023. Full details on the application process are available at GOV.UK.

The Dfe will be publicising the launch of the 2022 special free school competition to trusts, schools and stakeholders, via their sector comms channels and Regions Group teams. Create: Schools which is contracted by DfE to support the free schools application and assessment process will also issue separate comms.
