As we come to the end of the academic year, we wanted to provide you with details of the agreed KS2-3 common transition dates for 2022-23.
Ipswich Opportunity Area Schools (IOA) agreed to an ongoing transition window of the last Wednesday and Thursday in June, and this will mean the dates from 2023 will be Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th June.
We would encourage Suffolk schools outside of the IOA to follow these dates as well in order to facilitate a consistent transition process across the county. Hopefully this information will allow you to plan your calendar for next academic year. This common transfer window forms part of the Transition Charter, which we are encouraging all Suffolk schools and educational settings to sign up to.
Next year, there will be an opportunity to get involved with our continued mission to make transition from EYFS to Further Education a consistent and collaborative process through effective communication and collective responsibility.
