Initial Teacher Training with NIoT@Inspiration Trust
We’re still recruiting aspiring science teachers for our 2024 cohort of trainee teachers. If you know someone that might be interested in teaching science, they can find out more about our teacher training course at Initial Teacher Training (ITT) | National Institute of Teaching (niot.org.uk).
We’re also hosting a teacher training information evening at The Forum, Norwich on 15 May. Come along between 5pm and 6pm to get answers to your questions about applying, how the training year is structured and associated finance.
NPQ funding for 2024/25 announced by the DfE
The DfE has announced its plans for NPQ funding in autumn 2024. This will see the following NPQs still fully funded for all schools:
- NPQ in Leading Primary Maths
- NPQ for SENCOs
- NPQ in Headship
NPQ scholarship funding for the other NPQs will remain available for teachers and leaders who work in the most challenging schools or education settings, serving more disadvantaged communities. This would see the full cost of the course covered for teachers and leaders from:
- The 50% of schools with the highest proportion of students who attract pupil premium funding.
- 16 to 19 educational settings identified as having high disadvantage.
If you would like to confirm whether teachers and leaders at your school are eligible for NPQ scholarship funding next academic year, please contact us by emailing [email protected].
