DfE – ‘Manage training for early career teachers’ service

The DfE have been making improvements to their ‘manage training for early career teachers’ service this summer. This service is where schools can notify the DfE of:

• how they want to run their ECT training
• which accredited materials or training provider they’ll be using
• which ECTs and mentors will take part

The DfE will begin emailing schools this week, inviting them to set up their ECT training programmes for next academic year. If you have an ECT joining you in September, please ensure that you get your training plans confirmed with the DfE as soon as you are invited to do so.

Appropriate Body (AB) services

We’re very pleased to confirm that we will be offering Appropriate Body (AB) services from September. You do not need to be using our training programme in order to make use of our Appropriate Body service. If you’d like to nominate us as your AB from September 2023, please register your interest with us here.
