Don’t miss the chance to book your school on to the Children & Young People’s Emotional Wellbeing Festival 2023
The Emotional Wellbeing Festival 2023 is back, and school bookings are now open, but hurry spaces are going fast!
This year’s festival is being hosted at Moreton Hall Community Centre in Bury St Edmunds, on Wednesday 10th May 2023, from 9.30am – 2.30pm, for secondary schools in West Suffolk. Last year the festival was hosted in East Suffolk, so this year we wanted to focus on bringing this event to schools in the West, so they can take part.
We are inviting mental health leads/teachers who champion wellbeing support in their school, to come along with two or three students from years 7 and 8, and who are interested in wellbeing and would like to take ideas forward from the day within their school.
The festival will be a fun day of emotional wellbeing workshops, activities, and free resources.
This year’s workshops will include:
– Introduction about what emotional wellbeing is – delivered by Lead Psychological Therapist, Beth Mosley, from the Suffolk Psychology in Schools Team.
– Self-esteem & body image – delivered by charity Bodyhappy.org
– Mindfulness and yoga – delivered by the Suffolk County Council’s Engagement Hub Team.
There will be guest speakers, and a marketplace of emotional wellbeing support services and organisations to allow schools to network and share good practice. This is one event your school does not want to miss!
Lunch and refreshments will be provided on the day.
Schools can find out more and book a place via the below Eventbrite link – use password ‘wellbeing’
The deadline for bookings is Friday 21st April (if spaces remain available)
