Win a school visit from best selling author and the creator of Alex Rider and the Diamond Brothers – Anthony Horwitz, CBE.
Anthony Horowitz is getting involved with this year’s Home-Start in Suffolk Character Creations Competition. Your school can take part in a fun day of activities all provided by Home-Start in Suffolk, including a short film from Anthony reading an extract from his latest book, Where Seagulls Dare, part of the Diamond Brothers series. The Diamond Brothers is a series of humorous children’s detective books, recounting the adventures of the world’s worst private detective, Tim Diamond, and his much more intelligent younger brother, Nick Diamond.
Home-Start in Suffolk are inviting children in years 3-6 to create a fun character of their own that might need the detective skills of the Diamond Brothers. The winner of the competition will receive a visit at their school from Anthony who will personally present the amazing bundle of prizes including signed books, book tokens, t-shirts, games and more.
There is also a separate competition aimed at children in nursery to year 2, based on the brilliant book Stink the Sloth by Suffolk author and primary school teacher Rob Parker. The younger children at the school will hear Rob read his book, and then asked to create a character based on the story. Rob will also personally present the winner of this age category with their fantastic prize bundle.
