Please watch and share this short video summary of the Suffolk Inclusion Toolkit (SIT)
These resources support staff to identify and meet the needs of children and young people with SEND. The toolkit includes Valuing SEND (VSEND), the Essential SENCO Toolkit and the Educational Psychology (EP) Analysis of Additional Needs Screening Tool (AANT). Please read the following article for information about a new SIT governance group and further training and support.
We are in the process of setting up a Suffolk Inclusion Toolkit Governance group to support the effective implementation of this toolkit. We will share expectations of group membership soon. In the meantime, if you would like to put your name forward for possibly joining this group, please do contact [email protected] and we will register your interest.
Valuing SEND (VSEND):
All schools in Suffolk have now been offered training and we will continue to support you with embedding VSEND in your schools throughout next academic year. We have begun to hear how settings have successfully started to use VSEND and will share practice examples very soon.

Analysis of Additional Needs (AANT):
Thank you to those colleagues who have shared your feedback about the impact of the AANT process. Please do watch the following YouTube feedback video Feedback about the AANT – YouTube to hear about how the AANT supports staff to identify the strengths and additional needs of pupils. We hear how the subsequent consultation with an EP also helps staff feel more confident in identifying and meeting children and young people’s needs. This video also highlights how supportive, easily accessible and effective this way of working with an EP is.
