Welcome back to the Spring Term. The Schools Liaison Team thought that it would be a great idea to update you with what we can offer yourselves along with some reminders of some important information.
We also want to reassure you that we are available and accessible for Schools and Students especially during these difficult times. If you need any support, please let us know. Our goal is to keep every student in education, divert young people away from criminality and improve outcomes of young people. Over the Christmas holidays all of the One Cop Stop inputs have been reviewed to ensure they are still up to date and current.
The 16 + material is 70% complete and is being moved forward for approval both within the Police and shortly our education partners at SCC. Once approved there will be inputs surrounding the following subjects:
• Domestic Violence
• Consent
• Exploitation & County Lines
• Sexting & Revenge Porn
• Digital Footprint
• Hate Crime
• Drugs & Alcohol A couple of the inputs were trialled in December which were met with positive feedback, so we are making some good progress for you.
Coming Up this Term

PCSO Craig Gibbs is looking forward to receiving your nominations!
Cyber Choices
The Schools Team would like to make you aware of Cyber Choices. The aims of the scheme are to:
– Explain the difference between legal and illegal cyber activity
– Encourage individuals to make informed choices in their use of technology
– Increase awareness of the Computer Misuse Act 1990
– Promote positive, legal cyber opportunities
If this is an area that your educational establishment is seeing problems and the appropriate OCS presentations have already been delivered, then a dedicated input maybe useful. This can be delivered by a Cyber Security Advisor from Suffolk Constabulary.
Alternatively, a Cyber Choices referral can be made for individuals who are at risk of or have committed low level cybercrime. The referral is nationally approved then delivered on a 121 basis by a local civilian Cyber Choices officer.
