We know it can be difficult to maintain a healthy weight in an environment where it is harder to make healthier choices.
The National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) helps to identify children who may be at risk of future health concerns and offers support to those in need. The programme measures the height and weight of children in reception and year six, to give a BMI. This helps to identify where support may be needed, taking into account the child’s age, gender and any other health needs.
Support is available locally through our 0-19 CYP service and OneLife Suffolk.
You can watch this short video for more information about the programme.
