The purpose of Operation Encompass is for incidents of Domestic Abuse to be shared with Schools. Operation Encompass is a Police and Education information safeguarding partnership, which enables Schools to be informed if a Domestic Abuse incident has occurred and where this could have a possible impact on a Child’s demeanour and behaviour within School. Police will then further refer into Suffolk MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) to notify if there are any safeguarding concerns. MASH will follow their procedure and explore these concerns in more depth. It is not expected that the School will discuss the incident with the child or family.
