Safeguarding begins with ensuring that the required safer recruitment checks have taken place and recorded appropriately in your setting. The session will provide information on the relevant checks needed as part of your safer recruitment process in school, as well as how to audit your SCR. 

Safeguarding begins with ensuring the required checks have been undertaken on all trusted adults who come into our schools. This course goes through the checks which are required for employees, workers and visitors. It also covers what you should expect from your agency staff and contractors and how all these checks should be recorded. Finally, it covers how to audit your single central record and what you should do if you find information is missing. 

For LA maintained schools:

This course has no charge for LA maintained schools. 

For Academies:

There will be a £90 charge per person to attend this course.
