Tesco Community Grants can now support schools who lack funds and resources, to apply for extra financial help to provide healthy food and activities that boost young people’s mental and physical wellbeing.
Applications are submitted online and shortlisted projects for designated TESCO areas are put to public in-store vote (Blue token).
TESCO recently confirmed a £5million investment as the next phase of Tesco Community Grants. Supporting children and young people in schools include applications with a focus on providing food to pupils such as fruit for breakfast clubs or snacks to enjoy throughout the day and for equipment for outdoor and indoor activities.
Other projects Supporting Children and Families can still apply.
Shortlisted projects for designated TESCO areas are put to public in-store vote (Blue token). The most popular project will be awarded £1,500, the second, £1,000 and the third £500.
If your project isn’t immediately shortlisted it may get selected for a later round for your area. It is recommended that applicants work up their project costs up to £1,500.
