Information, advice and guidance for SENCOs and pastoral staff in Suffolk Programme 2021-2022
As a continued commitment to support the school system across Suffolk, and in line with the graduated response for access to services, all the events listed below are free at the point of delivery to school staff who work with vulnerable children.
We welcome you to participate in any of the following events:
- A SENCO Forum for all SENCOs across Suffolk which will update on services across Suffolk for children with SEND, supported by colleagues from across the Inclusion Service, Health and Social Care/Early Help, the Skills Team and SENDAT Outreach
- Two shorter, follow up SENCO Forums to address questions and requests from the larger forum. These also are specific to localities in Suffolk to address the different health organisations and local offer.
- CPD sessions from the Specialist Education Services and Psychology and Therapeutic Services, SENDIASS, Health, Early Help
In addition, we are continuing to run our ‘New to SENCO in Suffolk Programme’.
This year, we are extending our audience to include staff in inclusion and/or pastoral roles. We are also specifying in advance to likely key stage the activity is most relevant for.
All sessions are part of the Core Offer for schools and settings. Details of Traded Services will be found on the Suffolk Local Offer.
Meetings are held in Microsoft Teams to enable all Suffolk schools to access more conveniently without the need to travel. Contact [email protected] for an invite to any of these events.
Please also see the SENCO bulletin ([email protected]) and Suffolk Headlines ([email protected]) for the latest programme of events, as these will be added to throughout the year and in response to need.
Please refer also to our Local Offer pages for resources to support parents and schools.
