1. Children from Ukraine

Additional Funding

We are starting to see some children from Ukraine accessing funded hours at Suffolk settings.

If you have a preschool aged child from Ukraine at your setting you may be able to access some additional funding to help support the child’s inclusion and access to the EYFS.

If the child’s family are here under the ‘Homes for Ukraine’ scheme you could receive £1,000 per term, for a maximum of 3 terms, you will need to apply each term for this using the form below. Suffolk County Council are continuing this funding for the academic year 2023-2024.

If the child’s family are here under the ‘Ukraine family scheme’ you could receive a one off payment of £500. The DfE are not funding this element but Suffolk County Council recognises these children will also have some additional support needs so have made this funding available.

Once you have filled out the survey, we will send you a secure email so you can then submit your invoice for the funding.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure you are responding to the secure email before sending in your invoice.

Invoices should include the following information:

  • Childcare Provider Name
  • Setting address
  • Contact telephone number
  • Contact email address
  • Scheme detail
  • Childs name and date of birth
  • Amount you are claiming
  • Ensure your invoice is addressed to: Suffolk County Council, Endeavour House, 8 Russell Road, Ipswich IP1 2BX (Please note: the invoice should be sent electronically by secure email).
